In 1968 Roger Waters put in a special order for a Fireglo Rickenbacker. It was a Rose-Morris model 1999, known in the US as the Rickenbacker 4001S.

1968 was a wild year for Pink Floyd as they were in a transitional state from the Syd Barrett led psychedelic sounds to the more philosophical and "progressive" compositions ushered in as Waters took the songwriting helm. Eventually Syd Barrett would 'step' out and David Gilmour would take over guitar duties.

Though Waters is best known for his preference of the P-Bass, you can't help but notice how much cooler he looks with this Rose-Morris Fireglo Rickenbacker!
